Competition Car Downforce: A Practical Handbook
Published in Hardcover by Haynes Pub Group (15 April, 2000)
Authors: Simon McBeath and Gordon Murray
Average review score:

Downforce and Aerodynamic Analysis Done Well
I have now read 3 books on aerodynamics and their application to motorsports. Simon McBeath has done an expectional job of presenting the information in a logical sequence at a level that both the beginner and experienced can benefit from. His style of writing keeps the topics interesting providing not only the technical data needed, but applying it to real world situatuins with valuable photos of high quality.

I found myself more inclined to read this book cover to cover than some novels I have read. A truly excellent book that was better than I had expected it to be. Very well done.

The Complete C3 Sicilian
Published in Paperback by Chrysalis Books (05 September, 1996)
Author: Murray Chandler
Average review score:

Complete is the word on Murray Chandler's newest c3 book!
The c3 Sicilian has experienced an explosion of new interest in the past several years. I originally took it up because no one was playing it -- now everyone (and everything, ie., DEEP BLUE) is playing it! It was once easy to beat up on Sicilianites using Gary Lane's excellent book, The c3 Sicilian (the only other book on this line worth owning). But 1...c5 players have become more savvy since the 1990 publication of that book. To stay ahead, Chandler's book is a must. He uses 70 complete games and innumerable notes to illustrate the cutting edge of c3 theory as of the date of publication. But beware! Time marches on and some lines have already been reassessed -- the apparently promising idea of 6. Nbd2 in game nine has been torched (8...Qf5!) and the whole idea should be avoided.

Average review score:

A must for lovers of Oscar and great literature
Oscar Wilde is my favorite author and in my opinion one of the greatest writers to have ever lived. His magnificent stories can make you laugh out loud but they can also move you to tears. No library is complete without the writings of Oscar Wilde. And I highly recommend this book and anything else by Oscar Wilde.

Oscar Wilde complete shorter fiction contains all of Oscar Wildes fairy tales. And it also contains his short stories and some poems.

The fairy tales collected in this volume are "The Nightingale and The Rose" and "The Selfish Giant" and "The Happy Prince".The aforementioned tales happen to be my absolute favorites. The are among the most beautiful stories I have ever read and they will truly touch your heart.Other fairy tales in this book are "The Devoted Friend" and "The Remarkable Rocket".

The short stories in this collection include" Lord Arthur Savile`s Crime "and "The Sphinx Without a Secret".And also "The Canterville Ghost" and "The Model Millionaire"."The Canterville Ghost" is absolutely hilarious and yet at the same time very touching.

Other stories contained in this book are "The Young King" "The Birthday Of Infanta" and "The Fisherman and his Soul "and also "The Star Child"."The Birthday Of Infanta" will truly break your heart and "The Fisherman and his Soul" is also a very touching story.

The poems in this book include The Artist, The Doer of Good,The Disciple, "The Master" and "The House Of Judgement" and "The Teacher of Wisdom".

I highly recommend this book and if you haven`t read any of these stories treat yourself to this book you won`t be sorry.

Conjugations and Reiterations
Published in Hardcover by Pantheon Books (13 November, 2001)
Author: Albert Murray
Average review score:

The Supreme Effort to Make Words Swing
Albert Murray's definition of poetry is "the supreme effort to make words swing". As author of "Stomping the Blues" and one of the most insightful and brilliant commentators on jazz and American culture, Mr. Murray makes his poems swing like his hero Duke Ellington. Murray plays poetic riffs on a variety of topics which he's touched upon before in his life's work, which now contains 12 books. There's a long and beautiful poem about William Faulkner. There's a jazz riff on Eliot's "Wasteland". There is a chapter of down-home 12-bar blues verses, titled "Aubades" ("morning songs") much like the ones Murray would have heard in his youth in Mobile, Alabama in the 1920's. There are poems about love, life, death, and even a light-hearted church sermon. In terms of poetic technique, the poems are exquisitely rendered, and in terms of subject matter they are fresh and relevant not only for contemporary Americans, but for all contemporary humans. There's everything from praise for Thelonius Monk, to a debunking of Sigmund Freud, and throughout it all is the rigorous intellectual structure, vast erudition, and good-natured, hilarious barber-shop humor of Albert Murray. This is a must-have for fans of Albert Murray and fans of great poetry in general, and is a should-have for everyone!

M'Cheyne and true salvation
In this short book yet powerful book Robert Murray M'Cheyne talks about the necessity of the Conviction of the Holy Spirit. M'Cheyne goes into how it isn't just a little prayer. This is good for every believer to read and helps you understand that true salvation comes from the convicting power of the Holy Spirit.
